Disaster in Haiti

What can I do?  This is the question most of us are asking in the face of one of the most desctructive natural disasters in recent history.  Initial assessment teams from Samaritan’s Purse, Baptist Global Response (IMB), and NC Baptist Men are responding to critical needs in Haiti after the earthquake on January 12. In the name of Jesus Christ, we are providing medical care, clean water, shelter, and non-food items, such as blankets, clothes and hygiene kits. If you would like to give a monetary donation to help, please make your check out to Mount Vernon Church and indicate in the memo section (or on the envelope) that this gift is to be used for Haiti Disaster Relief. If you prefer to donate online, please go to the secure E-Giving link on the right side of this website. 100% of the funds collected will be used to send supplies and skilled personnel to meet needs and to share Christ in Haiti.
